They pulled a Christmas miracle and were able to get our countertop in before our Christmas party a week before Christmas (and it wasn't that much time between me picking the granite and the party). I'm giving 4 stars only because when they came to install, they drilled the hole for the sink in the wrong place so that meant getting a whole new countertop which meant more to do than just getting a new countertop. They were actually done nearly four weeks sooner than originally quoted and they made sure that the kitchen was perfect even though there were some adjustments they had to do once the cabinets arrived (due to the anomalies of the house - not their error), but everything turned out perfect and ahead of schedule. I had some unique design requests and David was very helpful, open minded, and honest in working through those details. David Shields16 February 2024Asked for a quote from OOTW to replace our cabinets and countertops and within a few days we'd received an initial quote which was slightly more than premade cabinets available online. Once I factored in shipping and the fact that I would have to do the install myself etc. it really was a wash in terms of cost, and I got exactly what I was looking for, and they installed everything. After several back and forth conversations with Ryan we figured out what we really wanted to do with our build which was replace half of our cabinets and replace our countertops and build an island. After everything was settled we went and took care of the paperwork and we were given an initial estimate for delivery. Our cabinets were ready is about half the estimated time. I suspect that's because we didn't want them finished as we're doing that ourselves. They set up an appointment to install the cabinets and measure for the countertops at the same time. The cabinet installer and countertop technician were on time and professional, cleaning up after themselves and everything. We were given an estimate of 5-7 business days on the countertop and it was ready in 2 and installed on the 3rd day. However we did have a little bit of trouble with the countertop install. There were a few issues with the install but once I reported them, I was immediately contacted by the management team Matt and Lance to figure out what exactly the issue was and how they could fix it. They tried to immediately fix the problem the next day but I was not able to support with my schedule. They worked around my schedule and came and took care of all of the issues as soon as I was available. The team at OOTW made sure that my satisfaction with the end result was top priority and that goes a long way. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the market for any of their services. They are responsive, professional, and from my opinion really care about their customer's satisfaction.Posted on Google

They actually came in a little cheaper than we originally planned. Also, the counter required two pieces of quartz and where they matched up, the colors were not quite the same. He was patient through our decision-making process, gave us some great suggestions and was very educated about the process and products they had to offer. We had to ask OOTW to replace our kitchen island granite as they originally installed the wrong slab (we had visited a showroom and chosen specific slabs from Arizona Tile for the kitchen) but they were apologetic and quick to make the change without any damage to the existing cabinetry. Brandon was great to work with and helped tremendously with our insurance company to get extra coverage where needed. We did upgrades and they were fair with their pricing and the overall quality surpassed our expectations. Their ability to meet timelines was a challenge. They are very busy. We were quoted 8 weeks and it took 12 to install. The install had a small hiccup where the island was not centered properly. Chris Mallory28 April 2021Out of the woods did the cabinets when I built with castle creek. The first time was an excellent experience and we still love our cabinets. I got with them to build the same cabinets in the basement to match. Although the design and everything with Rylee was awesome (she’s great with communication, emails, updates, and payment info) the install was tough this time. The install took out a chunk of the face of a cabinet and the vanity panels were cut wonky and the main panel for the side of the fridge is still bowed in about 1/3” and I can see it every time I go down the stairs. They came back and covered things up with trim pieces and it fixed most things, but they could have also fixed the bowed panel in 15 minutes and I would be more happy. They added a corner coverup for the chunk missing on the top which is ok, but for the price of customs cabinets I think I expected a replacement and better quality install. Would I use them again? Maybe because they have the painted cabinets that match the rest of the house.. I would be cautious about the install quality though. I hope I can get them to come back and fix the panel. **Review update** upgraded the stars on the review. I contacted OOTW to see what they could do about fixing the issues and I will say they came through. They built the side panel thicker so it wasn’t wavy and totally replaced the cabinet with the piece missing. Great customer service and I can say that I’m very happy with my cabinets now, they are the way I wanted them and they match the rest of the house. I like that I can pick out the exact slab of counter top, so there are no surprises with the color or unique features of the granite. They have always delivered on time and it looks seamless and beautiful. Unfortunately we paid to be able to work with them to determine the final template before the granite was cut, but it accidentally was overlooked and the granite was cut without our final input. We requested one of the pieces to be recut because it was from a piece of granite inconsistent with the overall slab. Fortunately there was enough remnant to do so. Mike Strand12 February 2021So stopped by to see if Out of the Woods had some solid surface remnants for a fireplace hearth that we had just renovated. They had several to choose from and were very helpful in finding something that would go well with our new rock work around the fireplace. They told us that the current wait time for installation could be 5 weeks or so as they were very busy, but since it was a small order that they might be able to squeeze us in sooner between bigger jobs. I got a call 2 days ago and they said that it was ready and we could schedule the install. We got is scheduled for the next day with a 9-11 install window. They showed up at 9 a.m. and looked at the spot for the hearth, prepped the area and installed the NEW hearth in about an hour. They were very professional, polite, and cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend Out of the Woods in a heartbeat! They were fantastic to work with from the folks in the office, to the gentleman that came out and measured for the NEW hearth, to the install crew. He helped us walk through the design, made changes easy and painless. They incorporated customer supplied items and stored them until ready for install. The install crew was awesome as well. There was a small adjustment that was necessary on a couple pieces (not their fault) and they made those adjustments quickly so there was no delay in project timeline. Patricia Vanderkooi18 January 2021I'm in love with the countertops, we chose the Calcutta Maywood and I am very pleased with our decision. They are absolutely beautiful. The only reason why I didn't give them a 5 star review was because of the time it took for the installation. It took 3 separate visits for the install within a 3 month time period. The reason was that the back splash was a 1/4" shorter then the laminate back splash (needed to be covered). They were able to salvage a majority of what was left over in our slab to recut a back splash to cover the laminate back splash but when they came to install they didn't have enough to finish one bathroom. That took another 4 weeks, till they were able to come back and finish the install. All in all they were great to work with and the sales representative was quick to respond. They tell you, so it is not a surprise, but a cashier’s check would have saved me some $. I went to them for my kitchen countertops and my vanity countertop. ** Update 2020, I purchased a countertop for a small kitchenette in my basement. I had new cabinets installed, not purchased through OOTW. Unfortunately, while installing the countertops, they left brown adhesive on a few of my new cabinets (white cabinets). I had to clean extensively before the adhesive was not obvious. There is still a small amount that can be seen if looking closely. This is disappointing considering their previous work. Other than cleaning up their mess when it occurred, there wasn't much they could do after the fact. This might have been a simple oversight, but it is upsetting when new cabinets are involved.Posted on Google

We updated our counters and sinks in the kitchen and bathrooms. We changed the style of sink in our kitchen, which we were lead to believe would be seamless, which it was not and required a lot more work. Also, when we scheduled installation we were told they would be at our home at 2 PM. They showed up at 11:30 AM without a phone call and we had to rearrange our schedules to accommodate. Rylee was very helpful and knowledgeable with the designs and recommendations as well being patient with us as my wife and me often had different ideas. The installer, Brody did a great job, as well as the team that placed the granite countertops. Had the plans finalized, then Covid-19 came to town. Out of the Woods was able to work with this, keeping to schedule while observing the added precautions. Just enjoying our new kitchen now. Things went very well, no complaints. There was some miscommunication about the color of our cabinets and when they were installed they were not the color that we expected. We contacted Ryan and he immediately set up a time to meet with us at our house. Ryan and Brandon met us and we went over our concerns with them. They were quick to offer solutions to us and help make sure that we loved our cabinets. The solution came at an expense to them (even though the problem wasn't necessarily their fault) and they are helping correct this for us. Their showroom had plenty of samples to look at and choose from. I was given the option to look through their remnant pieces and was able to save money that way. I never felt pressured to look at, or buy something that I didn't want. The employees that came to my home to do the template for the countertops (as well as the installation) were easy to work with. I had to change the dates for the guy to come out to do the template for the countertops and he was very accommodating. My bathroom countertops look amazing. The cabinets are beautiful and Dillon the OOTW installer did a great job with the details and finishing quality. But the fact is we would had to install them after putting the cabinets themselves together. When it came down to it we wanted my wife's dream kitchen and that is exactly what we got. And it helps considerably when you receive a Life Time Warranty. The Staff was great to work with, and the installation was fast and exceptional. Lynette Taylor11 August 2019Ryan was very personable and available and the laser measurement went great He came on the scheduled time and was a very pleasant man I waited most the day for the installers They didn’t bring the bathroom sink They said they’d be back at 10:30 the next day Did not show My plumber was coming at 3:I5 to hook up the sinks Ryan was working on getting them to my house before the plumber got here I had to leave so I left my door unlocked so they could get in and install the sink They showed up some time around 2:30 The back splash was shorter than the original back splash So there was a 1/4” paint line which would have been fine but they used a calking that wouldn’t absorb my touch up paint I had to dig the calking off mud and sand before I could paint That was very inconvenientPosted on Google

I have been working with Ryan Warner from Out of the Woods. He has been awesome! Throughout the process he has been courteous, competent, helpful, friendly and professional. He has been patient in all of my “changing decisions”. He was very quick to respond to my emails, phone calls, and texts. At one point I was almost in tears about a choice I had made and he patiently walked me through it and reassured me that it was going to work out and this was on a Saturday which is his day off. He goes the extra mile. He picked me up from my home and brought me to Out of the Woods and back home again when I did not have transportation. That is service that you rarely see today. I HAD TO CALL ON THE TENTETIVE DELIVERY DAY SO I COULD SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON AND THE WHEN THE DELIVERY AND SET UP CAME IT WAS INCOMPLETE AND THE SET UP GUY HAD TO EXPLAIN THE REASON FOR DELAY. IF SOMEONE HAD TAKEN THE TIME TO MAKE SOME UPDATE CALLS ON THE DELIVERY AND ON THE REASON FOR THE MISSING ITEM SO IT WAS NOT A SURPRISE OR I HAD TO GET ON THE PHONE AND HUNT FOR ANSWERS THEN IT WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT. I DO NOT MIND PAYING THE PRICE FOR THE BEST BUT I EXPECT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION TO BE EQUAL TO THAT VALUE. EVERYTHING IS GREAT NOW AND IT LOOKS AWESOME.
