Tige discovered his passion for woodworking as a teenager, when he set up a small woodshop in his Grandpa’s barn, where he built gun cabinets, dressers etc. for friends and family. He later attended Ogden-Weber APC where he earned a certificate in cabinet manufacturing. He began working in the cabinet industry shortly thereafter doing installation and learning more about design and manufacture. He started his company, Out of the Woods Custom Cabinet & Countertop, in a shop behind his home in Syracuse in 2001. He is passionate about the quality of the service, product and work environment at Out of the Woods and strives daily to set an example of being the very best at each. Tige is hard worker and very down to earth, with a quick wit and a love of the historical roots of Utah. He spends his free time hunting and going on drives with his family.
Director of Finance
Jon earned his MBA at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University (Go Aggies!) with an entrepreneurial emphasis and has had the opportunity to serve in like capacities in multiple industries. As our Director of Finance, he brings his keen financial knowledge to, and he appreciates serving and being part of the team with a great company like Out of the Woods. When away from work, he loves being with his family, his dream vacation would be to travel all over playing beautiful renowned golf courses.
Director of Sales & Marketing
Mark comes to Out of the Woods with over 30 years of sales, sales management and multi-unit management experience from a variety of fields. With a B.S. in Business Management, Our Director of Sales & Marketing, Mark strives to create sales teams that generate high performance, with customer service as a top priority. He loves sales and enjoys creating diverse and successful teams. When away from work, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters. He loves to see new places, try new foods and do new things, and will try almost anything at least once. He also enjoys sports of almost any type, especially his Utah Jazz.
Director of Operations
Matt has been with Out of the Woods almost since the very beginning. His knowledge of the cabinet and countertop industry is indispensable here. As Director of Operations, If you need to know something about the operations here, Matt is the man. At work, his top priority is a happy client and it shows in his tireless efforts overseeing the cabinet and stone countertop shops here at Out of the Woods. When away from work, his priorities shift to his family and watching his son play baseball. As an avid outdoorsman, he is always on the lookout for when and where the next hunt will be.
Business Development Manager
Brandon began his career with Out of the Woods in 2015. He began in the cabinet shop as a CNC operator and his ambitious nature has allowed him to be very successful in many of the departments at Out of the Woods, including cabinet design, IT as well as both small and large scale project development. As our Business Development Manager, he is passionate about customer service and loves building long term relationships with all his clients. He enjoys spending his time away from work with his wife doing outdoor activities such camping, fishing, boating, and riding ATV’s.
Heather brings a keen accounting background to Out of the Woods, that is only exceeded by her warm smile. She definitely helps keep all of the production and sales team on target and organized, which is not an easy task. Heather loves spending time being active outdoors and spending time with her husband and kids whenever the opportunity arises.
Chris comes to Out of the Woods with a wide background in scheduling and logistics and a love for staying busy and getting the job done. His attention to detail ensures the spaces we create start off on the right foot. You will always find a smile on his face and his great attitude and sense of humor is second to none. Chris loves to cook and you can even occasionally find him in his food truck at events around Northern Utah. He loves sending quality time with his awesome wife, children, and grandchildren.
Fernando makes sure that we have all the items necessary to manufacture all of our cabinetry. He loves spending time with his beautiful family and they spend as much time as they can outdoors camping and fishing. He is also a hardcore Denver Broncos fan.
Granite Operations Manager
Jim brings to Out of the Woods an extensive logistical and management background that is crucial to the organization of our granite fabrication shop. His analysis of complex issues and ability to solve problems helps to keep things on track. His warm personality and easy-going nature keep all those around him in a great mood and makes the workday go by faster. When he is not at work, Jim enjoys time with his family, reading a good book and rocking out on the drums. Jim is also fluent in Mandarin and deep down (not really deep) he is a huge dork that loves a good dad joke, comic books, lumberjack competitions, and Legos.
Granite Shop Manager
Julio started with Out of the Woods in 2011 with extensive experience in the granite countertop industry. He currently oversees the workflow in our stone countertop fabrication department. He enjoys listening to music and spending time with his family when he is not here working.
Teresa brings her gifts of organization, order, and fun attitude to the Out of the Woods granite team. She works closely with our clients, fabricators, sales team, and installers to keep things running smoothly. As a mother of 4 boys, she is the perfect person to keep all the boys in the shop in line. She loves spending time with her family while away from work and she tries to carve out as much time as she can for her passions in competitive axe throwing and go-kart racing.
Randy has 30 years of experience in the cabinet manufacturing industry. His expertise ensures that all the products we manufacture and fabricate stay on the correct schedule for completion and installation. He enjoys camping, ATV riding, and spending time with family.
Cabinet Operations Manager
Our Cabinet Operations Manager, Tim, comes to Out of the Woods with over 28 years in various woodworking industries, including over 18 years of operational and team management experience. He has great attention to detail and production processes, which is a perfect fit for Out of the Woods. Tim’s work ethic is well known and strives to pass that on to all of those who he works with. He is married with 6 wonderful children. He loves golf, fishing and his super comfy recliner. He also loves his German Shepard Charlie, with whom he shares the same affinity for cats.
Senior Project Manager
Ted brings decades of cabinet industry experience to Out of the Woods as our Senior Project Manager. As a U.S. Army and Gulf War veteran, Ted brings his military discipline to the job every day to ensure that all our project managers stay on task, submit clean drawings and details are all accounted for. When not at work, you will most likely find Ted out on the lake fishing with his buddies or spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Outside Sales Rep
David brings many years of sales and customer service experience to Out of the Woods. He enjoys helping people find and express their style in the selection of stone countertops for their home. “If the kitchen is the heart of a home, make it exciting, fun and the place everyone wants to be!” he says.
In his spare time, David enjoys being outdoors, especially with a camera. He likes to do action and macro photography, including wild horses, motorcycles, sports, flowers and bugs. He also likes the unique and unexpected outcomes of low light, long exposure photography.
Jared has enjoyed cabinet design for many years and brings his experience to Out of the Woods. He loves helping people turn a dream into a reality, and as such, Out of the Woods is a perfect career and one that he looks forward to perfecting and making his own. He has been married for 13 years to an amazing wife and has 3 wonderful kids who are the central point of life and reason for coming to Out of the Woods. As a Utah native, his free time is spent with family playing outdoors hiking, camping or spending a relaxing day at one of the local lakes in the area. He also enjoys golfing, snowboarding or playing video games with the kids.
Jessica comes to us with design experience from multiple other cabinet companies. Her quiet confidence in design and desire to create the perfect space for her clients, makes her a perfect fit for Out of the Woods. Attention to detail and finding the perfect fit describes her to a T. When not designing spaces people love, you can find Jessica outside enjoying nature, taking photos or enjoying a good book.
Jessica loves her position here at Out of the Woods because she gets to meet and greet new people every day and help as many people as possible. She comes to us with a background that includes daycare management and working with autistic children. She strives to live by the ‘Yes Theory’ which is, that by always saying yes and NEVER no, to things that challenge you and place you outside of your comfort zone, you will experience so much more that life has to offer. She has a big soft spot for pit bulls and just recently adopted one. Her favorite hobby is hammocking and watching bad reality TV.
Showroom Cabinet Sales
Megan’s love for design and construction can be traced back to her high school years, where she spent time in the welding shop, reading blueprints, and bringing them to life. Designing kitchens at Out of the Woods has been a great way for her to continue her passion from the shop, while still bringing wonderful ideas to life for her awesome clients. Outside of work, Megan enjoys singing a tune with her bird Pancho, going on adventures with her family, and playing Dungeons & Dragons with her friends. She is a huge nerd, who also loves collecting small knick-knacks, but there is nothing she loves more than bringing smiles to people’s faces.
Outside Sales Rep
Ryan has been with Out of the Woods since 2017. Ryan received his B.S. in Technical Sales with honors from WSU. Ryan loves the personal interaction he gets to have with all of his clients while helping them to create beautiful spaces in their homes. He is an avid outdoorsman and spends a great deal of his free time hunting, fishing and camping. Ryan also loves to snowboard and spends the winter months as a snowboard instructor at Snowbasin.
Project Manager – Castle Creek Construction
Ryan comes from a long history of woodworking and cabinetry. He started building birdhouses and simple projects as a pre-teen with his Grandfather in their small wood shop in Vernal Utah. He especially enjoyed drawing up plans and figuring out how things go together. He made wooden boxes, tables and toys for his family and friends every Christmas.
He officially started his cabinetry career in 1999 at a custom cabinet shop and worked his way through different shop positions, office management and design/sales. He has worked on everything from small remodel vanities to large commercial projects to multi-million-dollar new homes.
In his spare time Ryan enjoys backpacking and camping, spending time with his beautiful wife and daughters, and spending time on woodworking projects in the garage.
Showroom Cabinet Sales
Rylee started at Out of the Woods as our receptionist and through hard work and her bubbly attitude, has blossomed into a Showroom Sales Representative. She loves all those she works with and delights in helping her clients bring their dreams to life. In her free time she enjoys hiking, reading and attending baseball games with her family.
Outside Sales Rep
Stefanie brings 25 years of sales and design experience to Out of the Woods. She received her B.S. in Technical Sales and AAS in Interior Design from WSU. Stefanie enjoys guiding clients through the design process from the beginning stages to the end. She loves interacting with all different types of people and helping them to make their home beautiful. Stefanie loves to spend time cheering her kids on in sports, traveling, camping, hiking, and spending quality time with her family.
Cabinet Installation Manager
Lance grew up on job sites with his father, a general contractor, learning all he could from him. He started working in the cabinet industry in 2002, with the last ten years at Out of the Woods. Lance enjoys the challenge of cabinet installation and the ultimate rewards of a beautiful finished product. He has a great skill in making sure everything turns out excellent. During his time away from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, son and 2 dogs. They all enjoy doing everything outdoors including fishing, hunting and nights around a campfire sharing stories and s’mores.
Robert has been with Out of the Woods since 2014. From cabinet work to landscaping, he loves to work with his hands to create new things and new ideas. Robert has always been a very helpful person and strives to bring happiness to those he comes into contact with. Away from work, he loves to cook, read, draw & paint. He also enjoys spending time with his husband and German Shepard, Ava.
