Custom Cabinets in Marriott-Slaterville, UT
Marriott-Slaterville, Utah, is a small town in Weber County. It was incorporated in 1999, merging the communities of Marriott and Slaterville. This area was founded by several Latter Day Saint pioneer families, including the Richard Slater family, and the Perry, Smout, Marriott, and Field families. It currently has a population of around 2,000.
Willard Marriott, who was born at the Marriott Settlement in 1900, was a successful businessman who founded the Marriott Corporation, the parent company of the world’s largest hospitality, hotel chain, and food service companies. When he passed away, his company operated 1,400 restaurants, 143 hotels and resorts, and two theme parks.
Marriott-Slaterville is located only two miles from the Ogden Nature Center, a 152-acre wildlife refuge. Here you can walk 1.5 miles of trails and paths to explore ponds, marshes, canals, and creeks. You can also view some of Utah’s native wildlife up-close through live exhibits and view the rotating art displays.
