A fireplace surround refers to the materials and design elements that surround the entire fireplace, while the mantel is the shelf above the firebox. The surround draws your eyes to the fireplace and keeps ashes and sparks from flying into your home, and the mantel gives you a place to display books, photos, and decor.

Custom Cabinets in Liberty, UT
Liberty, Utah, is a census-designated place in Weber County. It was settled at the beginning of 1859 as an outgrowth of Eden, Utah, and its name comes from John Freeman’s remarks that both cattle and people took “full liberty” of the area. Liberty currently has a population of around 1,500.
Liberty is located only five miles from North Fork Park, which is a 2,600-acre camping and outdoor recreational area on the eastern side of the Wasatch Mountain Range. Here you can go camping, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. It is also an International Dark Sky designation, which means you can enjoy beautiful starry skies at night. You’ll find fire pits, picnic tables, volleyball poles, and horseshoe pits at large group areas.
If you enjoy winter sports, Liberty sits only two miles from the Nordic Valley Ski Resort. Here, you can ski and snowboard down 1,700 feet of vertical terrain, as well as enroll in the ski school. If you get hungry, you can visit the Nordic Valley Snack Shack or one of the rotating food trucks. The base area has a wide range of outdoor seating with fire pits and heaters, so you can take a break without getting cold.
