Custom Cabinets in Huntsville, UT
Huntsville, Utah, is a small town in Weber County with a population of around 600. It was founded in 1860 by Jefferson Hunt and is one of three communities making up the Ogden Valley. Huntsville is home to the oldest continuously operated bar west of the Mississippi, The Shooting Star Saloon, which opened in 1879.
The Shooting Star Saloon is decorated with antiques and unique taxidermied animals and features the legendary star burger, which consists of two ground-beef patties, two slices of cheese, and a grilled knackwurst Polish sausage in the middle. During prohibition, the original owner kept serving alcohol to minors and ranchers. After he was arrested, his wife took over bartending until he was released.
Huntsville sits only 10 miles from another famous attraction: Snowbasin Resort. This destination was named one of America’s top ski resorts by SKI Magazine, USA Today 10Best, and Outside Magazine. During the winter, you can go skiing and snowboarding down 115 different trails and over 3,000 acres of terrain. In the summer, you can go hiking and biking, as well as play mini golf. Snowbasin grew in popularity after being a part of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
