Countertop Edges
When it comes to designing your dream kitchen or bathroom, you may not think much about the edges of your countertops. However, this small detail can make a big difference in how the space looks and feels. The right edge style can complement your cabinetry, enhance the countertop material, and add a touch of personality to your design.
At Out of the Woods, we offer a wide selection of countertop edge profiles to suit every style — from classic to contemporary. Whether you prefer a clean, minimalist look or a more decorative sculpted edge, your team can help you find the perfect finish.
Our Standard Countertop Edges
The following edge styles are included in the standard square footage price:
Bullhose Edge — This style is rounded on top and bottom for a smooth, soft appearance. It works well in family homes and high-traffic areas.
Square Edge — This simple, flat 90° edge creates a sharp and modern appearance. It’s a popular choice for contemporary or minimalist kitchens because of its clean lines.
If you want a different style, you can choose from these other standard edges:
Half Bullnose Edge — This style features a rounded top with a flat bottom, offering the look of a full bullnose with a slightly more modern touch.
Bevel Edge — This style features a 45° angle cut along the top edge. This adds a refined, elegant look that works beautifully in both traditional and transitional spaces.
Crescent Edge — This edge has a soft, rounded, half-moon profile, similar to the traditional bullhose edge but with a slightly sharper aesthetic.
Our Custom Countertop Edges
If you don’t like any of the standard edges or want a more customized style, we offer the following edges:
2.25 Miter Edge — This edge features two pieces of material joined at a 45° angle to create a thick, seamless appearance. The number refers to the thickness, which is 2.25 inches.
Chisel 3CM Edge — This edge gives your countertops a natural, rustic look on a standard, balanced thickness of stone.
Chisel 6CM Edge — The 6cm chisel edge is substantial, bold, and dramatic. It is often used on large kitchen islands or fireplace surrounds to make a statement.
Ogee Edge — This S-shaped, decorative curve adds a classic but elegant touch to any countertop.
Double Ogee Step OutEdge — This style has two distinct S-shaped curves stacked vertically, creating a highly ornate and decorative look.
Choosing the Right Edge for Your Space
When selecting your countertop edge, consider:
Style — Match the edge shape to your kitchen or bath design (modern, traditional, transitional, or rustic).
Material — Some profiles work best with certain materials (like granite, quartz, or marble).
Budget — Standard edges are typically more cost-effective, while intricate profiles require additional fabrication.
Function – Rounded edges are safer and easier to maintain, while decorative edges add visual interest. Square edges have a modern, clean look but may be more prone to chipping.
